Question: Toshiba netbook cracked screen, help needed!?

I have just trodden on my netbook that was stupidly on the floor and ther is a massive black blob in the middle and a spider web effect coming out of this. there is also two other smaller black blobs. Just wondring if anyone knows how much replacement screens cost including labour fees. Do you think this will be covered under the 1 year warrenty? I only got it in April, oh I could kick myself!

If it's still under warranty, call them up, tell them 'it just happened'. They may or may not cover accidents. If not, they would need to order you a new screen and replace it for you, probably around $120 US including labor, depending on where you get it done and the specific model. If it's not covered, just buy a new one.

Workshop job I'm afraid. I'm afraid warranties do not cover laptops etc, being walked on because they have been left in the middle of the floor, and they will be able to tell that by the damage done to it. Depending on the make and size and where you go it will depend what you will pay. But your definately looking at between £200 and £300 because it's the most expensive part to replace. Next question is depending on the price of it new when you bought it, and the cost of replacing the screen which is going to be the less of the two evils of buying a new one or getting it repaired.
