Question: Different version of windows 7 for netbooks?

I was wondering how well the different versions of windows 7 would perform on my netbook. 1.6Ghz processor 1Gb of ram. 250Gb hdd. Thanks

I have similar specs, a little more RAM, but Windows 7 seems to run fine. I have x64 bit, however. Seems to run better than Vista did, in fact. But I do notice a little bit of lag if I try to start a bunch of programs/ run a bunch of stuff at once. I honestly doubt it's Windows' fault, though.

Microsoft has a free downloadable program which will tell you whether your hardware and software is compatible with Win7. windows.microsoft.com/ upgradeadvisor

There are 4 versions of Windows 7. - Windows 7 Basic (Comes preinstalled with new netbooks) - Windows 7 Home Premium (The cheapest full windows 7) - Windows 7 Professional and - Windows 7 Ultimate (More functionallity and pricier) So basically, get either Basic or Home Premium (I recommend Home Premium)
