I have the discs for Microsoft Office 2007, is there a way to get them on a netbook with no disc drive?
What is the fundamental difference between a laptop and a netbook?
From what I understand the only difference is the amount of memory you get with a standard netbook is much less than that of a laptop. If that's the case couldn't you just add more memory to the netbook by replacing your hard drive or adding more RAM? I also understand that a netbook is inferior to a laptop when it comes to watching videos or gaming. I mainly use my computer to browse the web, check email and write. Do netbooks come with office software? I apologize ahead of time I'm not that computer savy. Thanks.I forgot to ask about the processor, thanks for covering that aspect as well. I really don't need something ultra powerful like a gaming computer but at the same time I don't want the computer to crash because I tryed to watch a video on youtube, lol. I don't add much software to any of my computers I just need an office program and my security program. My security program is probably my largest download on my computer.
What's the best netbook for me?
Okay, here's the deal I need a netbook.I'm going to Europe in about a month and I need a netbook 'cuz my laptop is too big to take. I'm homeschooled and I need it for watching my lessons they're on DVDs. It'd be nice if it had a pre installed DVD drive, but I can buy an external one.I'm hoping it'll, at least, last a few years.The battery life is the most important thing, a minimum of 5 6 hours. I don't know how much I'll have access to a power supply during the first week. I want it to be 10in., fast, have ability to connect to wifi, and preferably, with Windows 7. And, it MUST be in Best Buy's selection. I don't really like buying electronic things online, and I trust Best Buy. All together, with the DVD drive included, I don't want it to go over $400. If it can be hackintoshed, that's cool too. Just an FYI, I'm thinking about getting the Asus Eee 1005HAB.Thanks.

ive got a toshiba sata hdd thats 250gb and runs 7200rpm and i wanna know if i can throw it on my acer aspire one netbook. it has windows7 starter and a 5400rpm 160gb hdd. will evferything be alright with it?if i can switch out the hdd, i wanna make a backup of 7 starter. i dont have a dvd drive, so is there anyway to make a back up into like an iso image or use norton ghost? in other words, whats the best way to back up the hdd on the netbook to the new hdd without using a dvd drive

Should i get a netbook?
I am a teenager. I am a fan of technology and computers and photography. About once a month, me and my uncle go somewhere and have a photography day out. He's an expert. I have a desktop mainly for video and photo editing, used regually and a laptop used to be used often, but less as of the desktop, used for coursework and homework, basically anything related to school . I am thinking of getting a netbook for when i am on the move, for the photography trips, so i can see my photos better, do basic editing, and be able to go on the internet for checking news, etc. Should i get one? Has to have a card reader, long battery life, and can take a few bumps there and here. Good brand needed Dell, Asus, etc and under 500 with a decent sized display with a Windows operating syetem. Thanks in advance Please mention sites where to get the netbook with a link, if possible and also without a glossy cover, as it will get damaged when being on the move. Thanks

Should I get a Netbook or a Regular Laptop?
Well, I'm getting a new computer, and I'm not quite sure what type to get yet. Because I really would like a netbook, because I've had one before in addition to a regular laptop , but it broke and I never replaced it. But now the regular laptop is broken too " sigh" and I need to replace it for next week.Anyway, I usually don't really do anything on it besides syncing music to my phone, and using the internet, and listening to music in general, however, If I end up starting to play pc games which I desperately hope not to a netbook wouldn't be able to handle that. The netbook I'm looking at has a 1.66 ghz processor, 1 gb of ram which I would upgrade to 2 gb , and windows 7 Starter, which I would definitely be upgrading to Home Premium. I don't really have a problem with those specs except for possible gaming , except for the screen, which is always 1024 X 600 which is kind of small and can get annoying.A laptop, on the other hand, would have more memore, a faster processor, windows 7 home premium already installed, and a MUCH better screen. But the only thing there is that I don't want anything over 15 inches MAX, and computers with revelently good 14 inch screens tend to be above the 450$ mark, which I can't exceed. Therefore, I am in a pickle.Thank's for your help and reading my long drawn out paragraph in the process. Haha.
