Question: How to restore asus netbook without disk?

I have an asus netbook computer eee 900 series. it recently started acting up. when i turn it on, it says "read disk error has occured, press ctrl alt del to restart " and when i do that, the same message always pops up. this makes it impossible to use the recovery disk. there is no disk drive as well, so an external one is needed. anyone know how to restore it so i can get onto windows without using any disks? i can get to the BIOS screen so if you know what else to do, please let me know

Well if you can get to your BIOS you should be able to start it in safe mode. I'm really not sure what to tell you from here, you should really go out and buy an external disk drive and run your recovery disc.
