Eee pc linux asus netbook / laptop doesn't connect to the wireless internet. What do I do?!?
okay, i just bought the Eee pc linux asus netbook, and i cannot get on the internet. the icon in the bottom right corner shows i am 100 percent connected, but when i click on the internet, all i can see is a white screen that claims to be loading, but after aboutu 2 3 minutes, something pops up saying something is wrong with your connection, operation aborted. HELP ?
I can't connect to the internet on my asus netbook it simply says "cant enable"?
I used to be able to get wireless on my netbook no problem, then one day it simply stopped working. when I ry to enable it simply says cant enable. However, the other computers in my household have no problem connecting to the internet.Any ideas what I can do to fix this?the wi fi is turned on and dso is the wLAN

i bought the asus 1005ha netbook from newegg. newegg.com Product Product.aspx?Item N82E16834220551& cm re asus 1005ha 34 220 551 Producti then installed windows 7 pro on it, and it worked pretty good. although i would get lag during streaming some youtube videos and most hulu videos, especially on full screen. so i bought a kingston 2 gb ram stick. a pc6400 just like the one that came in it, i knew it wouldnt be faster, but everyone said it makes a huge difference to add the extra gig of ram. bestbuy.com site Kingston Technology Platinum Series 2GB PC2 6400 DDR2 Laptop Memory 8986332.p?id 1218005634725& skuId 8986332anyways video streaming is still painful and i cant play torchlight at all, there is a netbook mode but it is still to painful to bare. is there a reason my netbook is so slow? is anyone else suffering these issues too, i know this netbook lacked much in resources but others are bragging about its speed and i want to make sure its not just a faulty machine. best answer gets voted by me
Im trying to decide to buy either an acer, hp, dell or asus netbook? which should i buy?
Im a college student and i want a netbook that will take pictures and has a webcam. I want something with a good low price and will last long. I want something that has wireless internet and good battery and wont get viruses easily. It has to have microsoft word and powerpoint.
How to restore asus netbook without disk?
I have an asus netbook computer eee 900 series. it recently started acting up. when i turn it on, it says " read disk error has occured, press ctrl alt del to restart" and when i do that, the same message always pops up. this makes it impossible to use the recovery disk. there is no disk drive as well, so an external one is needed. anyone know how to restore it so i can get onto windows without using any disks?i can get to the BIOS screen so if you know what else to do, please let me know

so, i bought my netbook today at best buy. I brought it home and the wireless connections popped up. But it says that to get connected you need to find the wpa key for that computer. First off, how do i find i that? second, the computer that i'm trying to connect it to runs on dial up so would that still work? and how would i get the two connected? i just want to know what i have to do to get internet on my netbook thanksss

I have a new Asus 701SD 7" netbook that comes ready for wifi, but what do I do when I go somewhere there is no wifi...just regular dial up? The Asus people said I have to purchase a USB modem of some sort but did not explain anymore then that. Im not up on the latest and have seen different items for sale with that name on ebay. I dont want to buy the wrong thing. Does this actually plug into the wall and the netbook or what? Ive seen other things also that may or may not work, that plug into it wirelessly. ??? What are my options. I do know that I want to just buy something that will always work where there is service, and not have to pay a monthly service fee thru a mobile phone place. Thanks. Merry Christmas This netbook does not have a phone line hook up. Its meant to be used with the built in wifi. They said in order to be used with dial up, it has to be done thru usb from what I was told. I know many hotels offer free dial up but am not sure exactly what to buy to make it work. Thanks so far
I'm purchasing an ASUS netbook. Do I go with the 512 MB or 1G of RAM?
I already have a PC that I keep at home and I use that for all my heavier programs Photoshop, ArcMap, etc. . I'm only looking to use the netbook for typing up notes in class, using the internet to check e mail and to stream applications from my university's website, maybe watch some YouTube videos between classes, and type up documents spreadsheets. I'm not hardware savvy so I could use some advice as to what level of RAM would be adequate for these needs. Thanks
