I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, and I made a backup on Windows 7 onto an external hard drive, then reverted back to Windows Vista, and am wondering if I can restore my files and programs from that backup made on a more advanced operating system.
How can I display unique values from a list in Excel 2003 without using advanced filter?
I'm trying to create a separate list of unique names from a list of names containing duplicates without using the advanced filter option in Excel 2003.I tried using IF COUNTIF $T$8 $T$102,T8 1,T8," " , however this returns the names that are listed only once instead of listing a duplicate name once and then not again in the column. Here's an example of the list MaryBobJaneChrisMichaelBobMichaelMaryAny advice on how to do this?

Continuous restarts to the advanced options menu during startup?
My HP laptop, which is a compaq nx6110 notebook will not start at all.Whenever I turn it on, it shows the Windows XP loading screen before showing the whole black screen, with " We apologize for this inconvenience but Windows did not start successfully.." I'll click " start windows normally" but then quickly flashes a blue screen of death before restarting again.I've tried safe mode and every other option, but it only led to the same thing.However, I did try F8 once and took down what the blue screen said " A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps Disable any anti virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration and check for any updated drivers. I was wondering if this lapop would be able to play pretty advanced games, imnot talking crysis, or like something else extreme, but like could it run Modern Warfare 2 onThe lowest graphic settings? It's a Sony Vaio EE22FX with an AMD Athlon II X2 p320 2.1ghz processor, with ATI Mobility Radeon Hd 4250 graphics at 5400 rpm with a 4gb ram. Would it work? I know the requirements for a few games, but there not really accurate and serve justice. Thanks for the help.

In Roxio 2010 video editing advanced, the videos aren't playing sound.?
So I got Roxio 2010 and I have never really had any trouble with it. I have made several hsort movies with friends but once I opened the video advanced the other day the videos were playing withour the sound. I have restarted the computer and reopened roxio 2010 and nothing helped. I also played the clips just on the computer and they were playing with sound so Im not sure what is wrong.
As far as Apple's Safari web browser and Google browser what other hybrid or advanced browsers do you know of?

Hey. I am 14 years old, and I am interested in learning about computers mainly about the internet but not exclusively . I want to know where books, internet tutorials, etc. I can learn what make a computer tick please excuse my rough terminology from the ground up. Please understand that I am pretty much a beginner to advanced computers. My only experience is with moderate web design, c , and unix.The reason as to why I am asking this is because I have heard about people who lived in the 80's and 90's who even as children knew everything about computers and the internet. Now I find that children I know that are considered " good" at computers merely know their way around an apple computer the simplest of operating systems or know maybe a scripting language or two. I would like to have the skills of those first mentioned. Thank you in advance
Defining Script Editor in Advanced Map?
I have advanced map for Pokemon Ruby and I don't know how to define the script editor as notepad so whenever I try to open a script it says script editor not defined. Can someone please help?

I have a netbook that was running windows XP, and I wanted to switch Windows Xp with Windows 7, so I went through the installation process, did the custom install since you have to have everything deleted if your switching from xp to 7 and I put in the product key after everything else is finished, and when I click Next, it has the wait busy mouse icon for about 20 30 seconds, then just goes back to the regular mouse, like I never clicked on it, I tried multiple times to put in the product key but I'm not having any luck, help please?The netbook came pre installed, but I used the compatability manager, and it said it would go on fine, and I am using the Windows 7 key.I did manage to get it working, thanks for the suggestions, it turns out the product key was glitched, and just needed to be reset.
