Question: Are acer netbooks worth buying?

Are the Acer netbooks worth buying? Can anyone give me any info on it? How much memory, how many songs, pics can it hold and things like that.

I bought one simply because its small and I can use it to repair other people PCs without having to lug a huge laptop around. It came with XP, 1 gig of ram, and a 160 gig hard drive. It does movies and media very well. Dont expect it to play hi end games tho. Only paid 298 bucks for it. You peep who claim to have trouble need to learn how to run a PC! You load a system up with a ton of crap running at startup, what do you expect? I've been in the biz of programming and repair for 30 years and know one thing is clear. 95 percent of a users woes are created by the user period. I suggest those of you that blame a PC for its problems take a basic computer course.

Yes they are. But it depends on which one your talking about. Im getting one in the near future. It has 160GB hard drive and 1GB DDR2 533 SDRAM

I have one and i have had great success with it. I dont see why not, mine is trouble free for 2 years now. I find it is as good or better than the dell i had before

No matter what you buy just get the extended warranty. its worth it

Yes they're worth it but it depends what your use for it is. If your just using it to browse the web then yes. If your using it to play movies listen to lots of music and stuff then no.

No. Its not. I have one. Its so weird and slow. Bad internet connection. It can proabably like store up to like 160 or 200 gb of space. If i were you get an HP mini laptop. Hp stores like 300 or 250 gb for music or other stuff. Good ocnnection

Nonononononono! I hate to seem like a downer, but I have been fixing computers for awhile, and more than half are Acers. There computer nightmares. I could go on for hours about it, but please, dont give them money!

The new smaller notebooks for like 250 at best buy are not really good for doing anything but slowly surfing the net. They are not too good for video just yet.

I think overall acers are crappy as hell i have an acer aspire one and my brother had another kind of acer i forgot and i always have problems with this one and my brothers didn't read disks right, he couldn't download music and it just ended up dying after a year. try buying a dell
