Question: Are the acer netbooks internet ready?

Im thinking about getting one of those tiny Acer notebooks, and I see that they do not have a cd drive, which Im ok with. The only thing Im wondering is if they can access wireless internet without needing a card or a usb adapter. I have a usb adapter to access the wireless internet on my desktop computer, but to use that I had to install something on a disc, which I will not be able to do with the netbook, unless I spend more money and get an external cd drive.

On netbooks wireless LAN is always built in, because this is one of the main purposes of netbooks to have a wireless connection to the internet. newegg.com/ Product/ Product.aspx?Item= N82E16834115510 an additional hint: if you ever have to install a program from a disc on to the netbook, you can use the CD/ DVD drive from the desktop. for that purpose you simply have to get a so called Cat5e Crossover cable (cost about $3 to 5) and then you have to set up an ad-hoc network between the netbook and the desktop. on the desktop you have to share the CD/ DVD drive to be accessible from the netbook. in case you have a wireless router at home it's even simpler. you can access the CD/ DVD drive of the desktop wireless via the router.
